The 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic was confirmed to have reached the Dutch Caribbean of Sint Maarten on March 18, 2020. There are now 16 cases on the Dutch side and 18 on the French side.


Travel restrictions which were issued by the Government of Sint Maarten were increased from 14 to 21 days as ordered by Prime Minister Silveria Jacobs on 11 March 2020.[1]

On 18 March, the first case in Sint Maarten was confirmed.[2]
